# 4.2 Driving the development and in-depth integration of multi-chain ecosystems

The generic cross-chain messaging protocol powered by anyCall enables the transmission of messages other than digital assets across chains. Standardized interfaces enabled by anyCall also make the development and design of cross-chain Dapps more concise. It's safe to say that the blockchain world has ushered in the era of the multi-chain ecosystem.

So far, anyCall is just a preliminary effort by Multichain to explore this field. Going forward, Multichain will invest more to make anyCall more functional, efficient, and secure, so that it can create more value for the project developers, and bring a better user experience.

anyCall will further promote the inter-connectivity of messages between different blockchain ecosystems. On that basis, it will improve and enrich the functions for different blockchain ecosystems, and make each ecosystem more unique. Meanwhile, it will drive the further prosperity of multi-chain ecosystems and more integrated development of all chains.
